Pay: $14 - $20 per hour plus commission

Are you an experienced Cerologist, Waxing Specialist, or Esthetician who is ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a Lead Cerologist to join our team and help lead our studio, support our Cerologists, and create an exceptional experience for every guest who walks through our doors!

The ideal candidate is a confident, experienced waxing and skincare professional who is passionate about both beauty and leadership. This role is perfect for someone who leads by example, knows how to build relationships with guests, understands the importance of sales and marketing, and is excited to help a team grow.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide exceptional waxing and skincare services while maintaining a high standard of guest care

• Lead by example and help motivate, coach, and support the Cerologist team

• Assist with training and development of new and existing Cerologists

• Help drive guest retention, rebooking, memberships, service upgrades, and retail sales

• Build and maintain strong relationships with guests and grow a loyal clientele

• Participate in community marketing, local outreach, social media, and other studio marketing efforts

• Help the team reach and exceed weekly and monthly sales and guest goals

• Monitor studio performance and help identify opportunities for growth

• Support the Studio Manager with day-to-day operations and team accountability, and serve as the studio's point person and in-store leader when the Studio Manager is not present

• Organize and manage retail and service product inventory, including tracking stock levels

• Maintain open availability and adjust your schedule as needed to support the business — including new training needs, schedule adjustments, vacation coverage, call-offs, and other unexpected situations

• Create a positive, energetic, and professional studio environment

• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, sanitation, organization, and guest experience, and follow all studio safety standards

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in waxing and skincare

• Current Michigan Cosmetology or Esthetics License

• Previous experience leading, mentoring, or managing a team

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to drive sales and meet or exceed goals

• Strong knowledge of waxing, skincare, and guest care

• Comfortable with marketing, community outreach, and generating new business

• Highly organized, dependable, and able to take initiative

• Positive attitude and ability to motivate and support a team

• Comfortable serving as the studio's leader and point of contact when the Studio Manager is unavailable

• Open availability — as a member of the leadership team, you're prepared to step in, support the team, and adjust your schedule as the studio and business needs evolve

• Experience with inventory organization and management

Preferred:

• Established clientele

• Proven history of high service and retail sales

• Experience training or onboarding new service providers

• Experience with membership-based businesses

• Experience with social media or local business marketing
